Meet Luke!

I adopted Luke from the Knoxville animal shelter (www.knoxpets.org). Luke was a stray, but best we can tell, he's about a year old Shepherd/Hound mix. He weighs just over forty pounds now, but I expect him to grow to somewhere around fifty or sixty pounds. He's about the best behaved and well tempered dog I've seen. Luke is starting to settle in to his new home, and I'm starting to realize how much trouble having a dog can be! ;)

UPDATE! Less than a year later, Luke has already surpassed my size estimates - weighing in at 68 pounds at his last veterinarian visit!

UPDATE (05/2008) Several years later, Luke is getting gray hair, and weighs in at a whopping 80 pounds!
